Trumpet in watercolour June 22, 2008

I did this late at night… maybe very very early in the morning. I’m quite happy with it, even though it doesn’t look very metal-like.

Edit: I forgot to mention that, the valves are a bit too long. Yeah, I don’t really pay attention when I draw, at least not in the early morning.

WOW, it looks really nice, i thought it was a photo at first. However, when i maximised the picture, i can see that the paint is not really carefully applies. as in the picture didn’t suggest the polished and smooth, hard surface of the trumpet? did u use watercolour? maybe u should take care next time, don’t use too much water cos there are lines at the horn there.;)

Thanks! I shall take note of that, I am not very familar with watercolour. Come to think of it, I have not used watercolour (nor actually drawn anything) for the past half year.
